Family history: He was the son of Peter Edwards, 11 Kerse Road, Grangemouth. He had two half brothers who lived with their father. David lived c/o of Mrs Baird 58 Mary Street, Laurieston. He was employed as a moulder at Laurieston Iron Works before enlisting in the Territorial Battalion on 9 September 1914.
