Date of Death: 25.4.15


Family history: Son of Peter and Jessie Nelson, 34 Hamilton Street, Camelon. Prior to joining the Territorials on 24 September 1914, he was employed as a moulder at R & A Main Iron Foundry. He had three brothers and a sister, Annie. The eldest brother, Peter, was killed in action serving with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in March 1915. James was serving with the 18th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, and George was serving with the Royal Naval Division.
