Family history: Son of the late James and Elizabeth Henderson. Husband of Elizabeth Fleming Henderson, 131 Grahams Road, Falkirk. They had two children Isabella and Elizabeth. Thomas had a brother and sister. He had been a regular seeing service in the Boer War with the Highland Light Infantry. Prior to enlisting in the Territorial battalion in September 1914, he was employed as a moulder at Burnbank Foundry. Elizabeth remarried on 30 November 1917 to James Boyd who was employed as a moulder.
